認知とは、「人間が外界にある対象を知覚した上で、それが
何であるかを判断したり、解釈したりする過程」

ベックは、うつ病患者の特徴として悲観的な思考（否定的な
考え方）を持つことが分かり、こうした認知の歪みを修正する
新たな治療的アプローチとしてうつ病の認知療法を１９６３年
に考案した。

現代心理学の主流は、行動療法と認知療法を組み合わせた
「認知行動療法」。。。
